Jamie and Margot Roode, owners of Devine West Ranch, are both originally from the Maritimes in Eastern Canada

Margot was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. She has a BBA from UNBSJ and very much enjoys marketing and working on the Ranch’s website. As well as being co-owner of Devine West Ranch, she is a bank manager in nearby Norton, NB.

Jamie was born and raised near his grandfather’s farm in Debert, Nova Scotia.

A retired veteran, he spent 25 years in the military, including service in the former Yugoslavia, Syria, the Golan Heights and Germany. Now Jamie Roode quietly walks his own tranquil pastures and open fields, accompanied by Rex the Collie and always welcomed by the ‘family’. By trade a welder and machinist he uses those skills around the ranch and looks forward to setting in motion his plans to bring the land back to its original, natural state.
